Distinguishing Transient Bone Marrow Edema Syndrome of the Hip from Femoral Head Osteonecrosis
In this review, femoral head osteonecrosis and transient bone marrow edema syndrome are discriminated. In order to reach a proper differential diagnosis, clinical findings, corresponding or divergent imaging patterns and possible pathophysiologies of the two diseases are described.
